School Group Fieldtrips

Are you looking for a fun, educational, and hands-on experience for your class? Bring your students to Affinity Farm. We have programs and activities for all grade levels. Our half day or full day programs are set up specifically to meet your needs. All activities can be done rain or shine.

Outline of Activities: Elementary-Middle School

Feeding Time- Learn about equine nutrition and help feed the horses breakfast.

Farrier Demonstration- Find out why a healthy hoof is important for all horses, then watch the farrier shoe a horse (farrier schedule permitting).

Grooming- Learn why grooming a horse is very important, what and how different brushes and tools are used, and how to check for minor injuries while grooming.

Tacking Up- Learn about different types of saddles and bridles and practice tacking up a horse.

Upon request, Affinity Farm will provide teachers with a horse-based curriculum with connections to language arts and math/science.
