What should I expect in my first lesson?

Each first lesson begins with an orientation to our farm. No matter your riding level you will be introduced to our grooming and tacking procedures and you will be expected (with assistance) to take care of your horse following the lesson. We offer a very hands on program where all aspects of horsemanship are introduced.

What should I wear?

Long pants (jodphurs, breeches, or jeans). We do not recommend sweat pants or wind pants. Shorts are not allowed. Please wear a boot with a hard sole and a heel (paddock boots). Sneakers and sandals are not allowed.

Do you provide helmets?

Yes, we can provide a helmet for your first few lessons.

How often should I ride?

A minimum of once a week depending upon your goals.

Are your horses gentle and safe?

Yes! We are noted for our calm and gentle school horses. We will match you with a horse or pony suitable for your skill level and size.

How early should I arrive to my first lesson?

Please come at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
